Westward Leaning's Do Good/Look Good Philosophy

When I ran into my friend at the Westward Leaning booth at the Capsule NY Tradeshow, I asked, “So, what’s so great about these sunglasses?”

Well.. Here’s the response and why we’re proud to be stocking them:

"Westward Leaning launched in San Francisco in 2012 with a simple idea: to make products that are equally beautiful and meaningful. Our premise is that social causes and progressive issues shouldn’t just be an afterthought, or a marketing pitch. Instead they should be an integral part of everything from the product’s design to how we use its proceeds. All Westward Leaning sunglasses feature a unique material on the frame’s temple – each in honor of a human achievement: from the brass that brought us jazz in our Louisiana Purchase models to the spirit and legacy of oceanic exploration in our Mother of Pearl line. $10 from each pair sold goes to education initiatives specific to each achievement."
