I've been stocking the line of scarves by Sophia Costas for several seasons. I love

how chic, yet playful their prints are, and consider them great way to add a touch of whimsey to any outfit. I also love their socially-responsible ethos: scarves are hand-crafted in Nepal in a fair trade work environment that focuses on empowering women through trade, as well as preserving traditional artisan practices.

This caught the eye of the editors at Yoga Journal, which featured their Cotton Bird Family Scarf among the 5 Fair Trade Scarves to shop for fall. In addition to their cotton collection, their 100% ethically sourced soft wool scarves feature bold animal prints in Sheep, Penguins and Elephants. Shop the menagerie here.
